From EconStories.tv comes Round II in the Keynes v. Hayek rap battle. As with Round I, I think Hayek gets the better of the video, with Keynes appearing to endorse the broken window the fallacy - a perversion of his actual views.
The videos are produced by a group of libertarian/Austrian School economists and that bias is implicit in the lyrics. Still, it’s amusing and informative.
I’m very excited to finally see “Round II”. I use the original rap battle in various classes, and students always seem to enjoy them—and learn from them.
One of my students sent me this amazing link. It’s a multimedia/interactive presentation about slums in Venezuela, Kenya, India, and Indonesia. It’s a great class resource, particularly if you’re looking for something more dynamic than a standard article or video.
